if your social justice isn’t accessible to LDC (learning/developmental/cognitive disability) folks then honestly what the fuck are you doing

one thing that you can do to start making your blog more accessible: stop making your blog font size 8px caps pixel shit, change your blogs font size to 12px at the least.

stop using moving gifs as backgrounds, don’t allow music to autoplay on your blog are two important things too.

one more thing too: when you’re typing out a long sj related post it’s a good idea to add a condensed (essentially a tl;dr) at the bottom for people (like me) who have trouble processing large walls of text

Headcanon 2: Grog

criticalrolequotesandstuff:

Grog definitely pays for lady favors. He’s in a tough position, because he’s so large that being intimate with many of the women he comes across could actually be really painful, if not outright dangerous for them. He might be brutal as fuck in battle, but he has no desire to hurt women in bed.

Once he finds a lady in a house of, ehm, lady favors, that he likes, he is very loyal. He’s actually super tentative when it comes to anything sexual, because he’s so conscious of his size, so it takes him a while to be comfortable with a woman. Once he is, he wants to stick with them.

The women appreciate his consideration, and actually really like how sweet and careful he is. They’re excited to see him when he visits and keep jars of mayonnaise on hand for late night snacking.

Also, if any other client were to get out of hand, they know that Grog would put them in their place. He’s very protective of his ladies. He’s come to their defense more than few times.

criticalrolequotesandstuff:

I love head canons. Like, aside from the general fun of them, they’re wicked handy. Like, I’m not super excited about the idea of Scanlan and Grog visiting whorehouses. In theory, barring any outside influence, if someone decided to become a prostitute, I’d think that’s their business. But in reality, you can’t usually remove it from economic uncertainty, there’s the whole issue of pimps and madams controlling access to the actual prostitute’s body, there are tons of problems with rape and assault, and very little recourse for the prostitutes. So, like, I’m baffled by anyone being comfortable with the concept of paying someone for sex unless you could be absolutely sure that it was just a thing they enjoyed doing as a profession. And even if they outright said that, I’d still probably think they’d say that even if it wasn’t true.

But, I still like the show and I still like the characters and I still like the actors, so I just create a couple of headcanons to make it not bother me.

I’m going to post them separately, because I’m not after trying to preach at anyone about this stuff (which is also why I’m not tagging this). I’m just thinking how handy headcanons are in this kind of situation, so I thought I’d share.
